Goin' downhill

That's the way things are goin', folks. A hundred years ago everybody was either simple-minded but strong, or brilliant and weak. Now, everybody is simple-minded and weak. We all play video games, watch T.V and spend about half our day wondering, "oh my god, is Jerry's mother who turned out to be his brother that is in fact a robot going to die in the next episode of Soaps-the Soap Opera?" Almost all jobs are based not on intelligence or fortitude, but on how fast you can press a button-we've taken the strength and intelligence out of the equation for everything from mining to computer programming. Why is this a bad thing, you might ask?

Of course, one might say that these things are for the better-that our ability to do everything so easily is for the good of everyone. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against technology, I just think that we need to take a bigger part in what it does. I think that if you have to operate a video game, you must first know how it works. That way, the 35-year-old fatso living in his mothers' basement at least knows what he's doing ninety percent of his day. Otherwise, we all just become a bunch of drooling idiots who don't know what we're doing and take everything for granted. How are you going to drive your Nissan, play Turok or Halo, or just write a blog like I am now if something like an EMP takes it all out? In the olden days, if something like an EMP burst happened, we probably wouldn't even notice; we'd just think that the power went out. Back then, we needed to know what to do if our car threw a rod, and we did know, because cars were so simple and you didn't need a PhD in computer technology to know what had happened or how to fix it. What did you do back then? Personally, I don't know, because I live in the modern age and nobody tells me this stuff because they don't think it's necessary. I think that if we don't know what we're doing, we shouldn't do it. Think about it, folks.

First blog of da day

This is my first blog "of da day". Or, for that matter, of da blog.

What is in this blog, you might ask? Anything from nerdy stuff that I find interesting to completely random statements that will leave you wondering, "What the hell is this guy talking about?" Or possibly, "What is this guy on?" Most of my statements will be the latter-completely deranged ramblings that will be posted daily. My first random statement will be the following:

John Rambo. Is that a fake name or what? I mean, what kind of a name is that? Rambo? Is that a real name? Is there actually someone on this earth whose real name is John Rambo? What's his middle name, Matrix? Who has a name like Rambo? Think about it, folks.
